Gold medals aren't really made of gold. They're made of sweat, determination and a hard-to-find alloy called guts.
Annual Sports Day is an important event in the life of every school as sports have a vital role in making a child sound physically as well as mentally. Packed with unmatched zeal and zest, the students of grades nursery to 8 from Presidium Sonipat recently participated in the much-awaited Annual Sports Day. The most intriguing aspect that embellished the event was the splendid field displays, involving mass student participation which splattered on the field. On that day, the atmosphere of the school took a festive look, drawing a great interest of the students. The Presidians competed in various sports activities including cross the hurdles, zig–zag race, hold the hoopla rings and run and clear the track. Once the races began, the air was filled with cheering and tons of encouragement for the young athletes. This was followed by the track and sports events including 50 metres sprint, relay race, high jump, long jump, pole vault and 100 meter race. The programme ended with the prize distribution and the vote of thanks to the students for making the Sports Day a successful event.
