The little leaders of Presidium celebrated the Ganesh Chaturthi in a unique way. The special assembly commenced with a melodious invocation with the Ganesh Vandana “Vakratunda Mahakaya” by our junior choir. It was followed by a dance performance depicting the reason why Ganesha, the son of Lord Shiva and his consort Goddess Parvati, came to have the head of an elephant on a human body. The elephant not only symbolizes strength, wisdom and longevity, but also inspires us to stop and think, don’t rush, take one step at a time, keep trying hard and work as a team. The choir confidently and melodiously chanted shlokas to invoke the blessings of Mangalmoorti Ganesha. The assembly concluded with a Ganesh arti by the choir followed by a rhythmic group dance. How a single festival could unite so many diverse people of India was made amply clear. The whole atmosphere was charged with festivity.
