"The fire of literacy is created by the sparks between a child, a book, and the person reading." Presidium observed Literacy Day to create awareness about the importance of education for people and how it will help people and communities. International Literacy Day highlights the importance of literacy, or the ability to read and write for individuals, communities, and societies. To impart knowledge about this day, our talented Presidians showcased their talent by creating posters, wrote quotes, and slogans. Literacy is defined as a person aged seven and above who can both read and write to understand a language. A quiz was also conducted in class based on India's literacy rate- it's facts and figures, mid-day meal scheme, Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao campaign, Right to Education Act. The whole activity went well, and students thoroughly enjoyed and participated enthusiastically.
