PRESIDIANS ENLIGHTEN ALL ABOUT MYTHOLOGICAL SIGNIFICANCE OF HOLI
From the lanes of Mathura and Vrindavana, the colours of Holi have spread all over the country. These colours also carry the message of love, brotherhood and truth!
On the colourful occasion of Holi, a special assembly was presented by the students of grades 1 and 4 at Presidium, Sonipat. The Presidians came beautifully dressed and recited a melodious rhyme ‘Holi aai Holi aai’. Then, a quiz was conducted on the facts on Holi, which was followed by a speech to enlighten the audience about the mythological significance of the day. The assembly ended on a note of high spirit and energy with a riveting dance performance by the students to show how the gopis played Holi with the gawalas of Vrindavan.
INTER-CLUB AD MAD CONTEST: CREATIVITY MEETS MADNESS AT PRESIDIUM
Advertisements are commercials that are designed to get the attention of the consumers. The purpose behind is to get something stuck in the brain of consumers, so it requires a lot of creativity.
To provide our grade 4 and 5 students a space to demonstrate their understanding of the world of advertisement, an Inter-Club Ad Mad Competition was recently organized at Presidium, Sonipat. Grabbing the opportunity to showcase their creativity and ability to perform, the young learners got acquainted with the promotional strategies in marketing, comprising of both humour and conceptual presentation, through advertisements. With great enthusiasm, the Presidians presented innovative advertisements with excellent input of humour, plus commercial and social messages. Delivering unique pieces of performance in this confidence building exercise, the leaders of tomorrow were actively encouraged to think creatively and to put their ideas forward.
YOUNG PRESIDIANS REJOICE A BLISSFUL CELEBRATION ON MAHASHIVRATRI
I am Shakti, as well as Shiva. I am everything male and female, light and dark, flesh and spirit, perfectly balanced in one single moment lasting an eternity!
With this auspicious note, a special assembly on the pious occasion of Mahashivratri was recently conducted by the students of grades 5 and 7 at Presidium, Sonipat. The Presidians after presenting the news headlines and thought for the day, continued the assembly with chants of Sanskrit shlokas. They then gave a magnificent performance displaying Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati’s tying the knot and entering into the matrimonial bliss. Everyone proactively participated in this wondrous celebration on loud encores of 'Har Har Mahadev’.
PRESIDIANS SPELL FUN AS ‘S.P.E.L.L.A.T.H.O.N’!

To motivate children and to enrich their vocabulary, pronunciation and observational skills, Presidium Sonipat organized an ‘Inter Class Spellathon Competition’ for nursery. This competition was conducted to make our tiny tots effective and impressive communicators. It was one among the numerous enjoyable competitions that gave students a platform to learn spellings in different ways. Through this, they also enhanced their vocabulary bank. Students participated with great enthusiasm and they dueled through the toughest words. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all. It was a great brainstorming activity for our little champions.
INTER-CLASS DANCE COMPETITION CARVES A NICHE FOR FUTURE ARTISTS!
Presidium, Sonipat leaves no stone unturned in amplifying adroitness in the students, and dancing is one of the most congruous forms to achieve that. With the aim of refining dancing skills of the students, an ‘Inter-Class Dance Competition’ was organised for the Presidians under Rhythm of the Soul academy. The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm.The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. Our young leaders were thrilled to be a part of such a colorful, vibrant and energizing event.
DEVELOPING CREATIVITY TALENT OF PRESIDIANS WITH PUPPET MAKING
Creativity is a great motivator because it makes people interested in what they are doing!
To encourage imagination and creativity amongst our students of grade 4 and 5, an Inter-Class Puppet Making Competition was recently organized at Presidium, Sonipat. The students overwhelmingly participated in the competition and came up with various kinds of puppets like sock puppets, stick puppets and cloth puppets, using their creativity with the recycled materials like colour paper, ice cream sticks, gloves and velvet cloth. They made innovative and attractive puppets on beautiful themes like family, animals, birds and cartoon characters. The students put their best foot forward
and took great interest in making the puppets. Encouraging the craftsmanship and artfulness of the students, the competition taught the students to use their imagination to make puppets with the resources around them.
TRICOLOUR ENTHRALLS THE PRESIDIANS ON REPUBLIC DAY
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Presidium, Sonipat. Republic Day celebrates the day when the free India gifted itself the country's own constitution. Presidians, celebrated this special occasion through a school assembly. As the flag was unfurled, multi coloured flowers floated out and the students sang the National Anthem as they watched the Tricolour fluttering high in the wind. Everybody’s hearts soared with pride as they watched it rise. The students learnt about the drafting of the Constitution of India and why this particular day was named Republic Day. The message that everybody should be ‘Proud to be an Indian!’ was well showcased by them. The Vice Principal, Ms Natasha Chhabra also urged every student to become worthy of the nation with honesty and dedication.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION SHOWCASES OUR PRESIDIANS' GENIUS & ERUDITION
The study of the world around us is Science!
Science and technology has transformed the way we work, communicate and view the world. To project light upon how our young Presidians view the world through this bewildering aperture of Science, we at Presidium Sonipat recently organized a Science Exhibition. The exhibition showcased the genius and erudition of students from grades 4 to 8 on topics like force, work, energy and air around us. Students made interesting models of pin hole camera, electric circuit, smart city and water harvesting. Not only this, the onlookers were propelled on a completely different tour from our universe and solar system to drip irrigation via our environment, while exploring the causes of air and water pollution. It was truly, an immersive learning experience for our leaders of tomorrow!
SONIPAT BHASKAR PUTS OUT FESTIVE SPIRIT OF OUR CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL
Presidium Sonipat recently organized a grand Christmas Carnival, which was meticulously covered by Sonipat Bhaskar on 27th December 2017, Wednesday. Joined in by hundreds of students and their family members, the impeccable fest was simply a refreshing treat for all, which was aimed at welcoming the festive spirit with open arms. An event full of unlimited fun, enjoyable activities, captivating games and lip-smacking food, the Christmas Carnival was a huge hit!
NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY: LEADERS OF TOMORROW IN ACTION
Saving energy today will make tomorrow bright!
National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year all over India on 14th of December and Presidium Sonipat celebrated this day to make our students aware about the importance of energy and the need for conserving it. Learning that energy conservation should be rooted in the behaviour of every human being as it is necessary to save it for the future usage, the young Presidians involved themselves in making a variety of posters and collages on using energy efficiently. Grade 8 students focussed on various natural energy sources that generate sufficient energy for the use in daily life, like fossil fuels, crude oil, coal and natural gas. The activity was concluded with a rally by the Presidians in the school premises, creating the awareness of this day for the maintenance of ecological balance.
