TRICOLOUR ENTHRALLS THE PRESIDIANS ON REPUBLIC DAY
The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at Presidium, Sonipat. Republic Day celebrates the day when the free India gifted itself the country's own constitution. Presidians, celebrated this special occasion through a school assembly. As the flag was unfurled, multi coloured flowers floated out and the students sang the National Anthem as they watched the Tricolour fluttering high in the wind. Everybody’s hearts soared with pride as they watched it rise. The students learnt about the drafting of the Constitution of India and why this particular day was named Republic Day. The message that everybody should be ‘Proud to be an Indian!’ was well showcased by them. The Vice Principal, Ms Natasha Chhabra also urged every student to become worthy of the nation with honesty and dedication.
SCIENCE EXHIBITION SHOWCASES OUR PRESIDIANS' GENIUS & ERUDITION
The study of the world around us is Science!
Science and technology has transformed the way we work, communicate and view the world. To project light upon how our young Presidians view the world through this bewildering aperture of Science, we at Presidium Sonipat recently organized a Science Exhibition. The exhibition showcased the genius and erudition of students from grades 4 to 8 on topics like force, work, energy and air around us. Students made interesting models of pin hole camera, electric circuit, smart city and water harvesting. Not only this, the onlookers were propelled on a completely different tour from our universe and solar system to drip irrigation via our environment, while exploring the causes of air and water pollution. It was truly, an immersive learning experience for our leaders of tomorrow!
SONIPAT BHASKAR PUTS OUT FESTIVE SPIRIT OF OUR CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL
Presidium Sonipat recently organized a grand Christmas Carnival, which was meticulously covered by Sonipat Bhaskar on 27th December 2017, Wednesday. Joined in by hundreds of students and their family members, the impeccable fest was simply a refreshing treat for all, which was aimed at welcoming the festive spirit with open arms. An event full of unlimited fun, enjoyable activities, captivating games and lip-smacking food, the Christmas Carnival was a huge hit!
NATIONAL ENERGY CONSERVATION DAY: LEADERS OF TOMORROW IN ACTION
Saving energy today will make tomorrow bright!
National Energy Conservation Day is celebrated every year all over India on 14th of December and Presidium Sonipat celebrated this day to make our students aware about the importance of energy and the need for conserving it. Learning that energy conservation should be rooted in the behaviour of every human being as it is necessary to save it for the future usage, the young Presidians involved themselves in making a variety of posters and collages on using energy efficiently. Grade 8 students focussed on various natural energy sources that generate sufficient energy for the use in daily life, like fossil fuels, crude oil, coal and natural gas. The activity was concluded with a rally by the Presidians in the school premises, creating the awareness of this day for the maintenance of ecological balance.
TALENT HUNT COMPETITION:PRESIDIANS UNVEIL THEIR CONCEALED TALENTS
Talent is God’s gift and what you do with it is your gift back to god!
Agreeing with this thought, we, at Presidium Sonipat recently organized a Talent Hunt Competition, where our students unveiled their concealed talents, embellished with uniqueness and diversity in dance, music, recitation and acting. Incomparable spark of these participants was evaluated and appreciated on the basis of new concepts, costume, props and overall performance by our esteemed panel of judges. Filling the leaders of tomorrow with unsurpassed confidence to fly high using their gifts, the fun-filled competition was truly, a huge hit!
SPECIAL ASSEMBLY ON CHRISTMAS ENLIVENS POSITIVITY & CHEERFULNESS
Christmas is the perfect time to celebrate the love of God and to create memories that will last forever!
Presidium Sonipat recently celebrated the joyous festival of Christmas as a happy time with a special assembly, focusing on the birth of Jesus Christ in a grand manner. The children came beautifully appointed in party gear for the Christmas celebration that followed. The pre-primary classrooms too had been dressed with bright and colourful bells, stockings and stars, created by the children in their craft class. The assembly began with a prayer ‘it’s a great thing to praise the Lord’. A play on the birth of Christ was the highlight of the Christmas celebration, followed by Angel dance and a song by school choir on the birth of Lord Jesus. Santa too made a grand entry and the excitement of children to see him was uncontainable. The assembly was concluded with a note of positivity and cheerfulness of Christmas!
CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL : FESTIVITIES MARK EVERY INCH OF SCHOOL PREMISES
Presidium Sonipat recently hosted the grand Christmas Carnival, which proved to be a huge hit. The eagerly waiting young crowd thronged inside and festivities marked every inch of the ground. Gaily decorated stalls welcomed the surprised visitors and each stall outdid the other with innovative ideas and warm reception. The guests made merry at the stalls, participating in games like lucky dip, fortunate coin, unlock the lock, chick race and hit the dart. Young feet tapped to the latest beats belted out by the DJ and as the sun shone brighter, the revelries became livelier. Overall, it was a boisterous triumph and jubilant way of ushering in the Christmas celebrations.
SONIPAT HEROES: A VIVID INTER-SCHOOL CONTEST TO SHOWCASE SKILLS

Believing that competitions offer a chance for participants to gain substantial experience, showcase skills, analyse and evaluate outcomes and uncover personal aptitude, Presidium recently organized an inter-school competition ‘Sonipat Heroes’. A number of students from different schools participated in the event and the occasion was graced by esteemed guests and a panel of judges from different educational institutions. The event was an amalgamation of different categories like Fancy Dress, Rhyme Recitation, Best Out of Waste, Sonipat Dance Masters, Drawing and Colouring and Debate competition. Providing a larger scope for the young vibrant students to display their talent, the fun-filled contest motivated the students to perform, excel and receive a lot more reward than just winning a prize. The students were felicitated with trophies and gifts for their marvellous efforts and it was truly a learning experience for all!
ITIHAAS WALK TO RED FORT: A VALUABLE EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING EVENT
'History of Delhi' more or less reflects the 'History of India'! It is replete with historical monuments and has been greatly influenced by every major upheaval that India has been through.
To make learning more effective, efforts are being taken by Presidium Sonipat along with Itihaas-Indian Traditions & Heritage Society. Recently, our students from grades 6 to 8 were taken on an Itihaas Walk to the Red Fort to explore and enrich their knowledge. Accompanied by a team of mentors, the students took keen interest and with a great enthusiasm, they apprehended the insight of this beautiful heritage site. They were given a workbook with a questionnaire and a drawing book so that they can stay focused on the knowledge imparted to them. This helped a deep penetration of the understanding and familiarity with the subject. The day ended with an experiential learning experience and the promise that the Presidians will forever respect the Indian Heritage!

To salute this unparalleled zeal to serve the country till their last breath and to ignite the spark of patriotism and nationalism in the hearts of our students, we at Presidium Sonipat recently observed the Armed Forces Flag Day of India. Dedicated towards the collection of funds from people of India for the welfare of the Indian Armed Forces Personnel, the day was celebrated with a special assembly conducted by students of grades 5 and 8. The assembly filled the Presidians with gratitude for our fearless and indomitable heroes entrusted with the charge of taking care of not only the border, but also of each and every civilian like us all.
