PRESIDIANS EXPRESS OPINIONS ELOQUENTLY IN EXTEMPORE COMPETITION
To imbue the true spirit of learning and enhance effective communication skills, English Extempore Competition was organized in Presidium, for grades 6-8. The students spoke eloquently on varied topics like the significance of handwriting, freedom of expression, internet age, etc. The event was a great learning experience for the students as they learned to express their views and opinions spontaneously. They were judged on various criteria like content, body language, fluency, etc. The judges applauded all the participants and congratulated the winners. How the students presented their thoughts and opinions was commendable and praiseworthy.
AD MAD COMPETITION: A PLATFORM TO BOOST CREATIVITY & CONFIDENCE
The Ad Mad Show competition is the perfect platform that offers a chance to showcase that one has the knack to advertise and win hearts. In order to provide a platform where a child can showcase their creativity and to boost their confidence, the Ad Mad Competition was organized by Presidium for the students of Grade 4&5. The students showcase their talent and their acting skills by presenting the wonderful and magnanimous advertisements based on Health products, Online Shopping, the importance of washing hands and hygiene and many more. It was an amazing experience to witness such creativity and imagination of our young leaders. The excitement level of the children reached sky-high while presenting their advertisements. All the students came up with exhilarating performances.
PRESIDIANS SOAK IN THE SPIRIT OF THE REPUBLIC DAY
Republic Day honors the date on which the Constitution of India came into force and this remarkable day was celebrated with solemnity and grandeur at Presidium. The students saluted the National Flag and pledged themselves to uphold the honor and integrity, diversity and uniqueness of India. Every student of the school came up together and sang our national anthem proudly. The melodious music and graceful movements of the dancers were simply enthralling. The day of the country’s transformation towards becoming a Republic was celebrated with hearts full of passion and patriotism.
CHRISTMAS CARNIVAL ENLIVENS THE FESTIVE SPIRIT AT PRESIDIUM
The Christmas bells ringing and the New Year approaching surely fill one and all with energy and enthusiasm. Like every year, our school organised the most cherished and fun filled event of the year, Christmas Carnival, on 22 December. The school's sprawling ground bore a very festive look with Christmas colours strewn all over and the chilly winds only added fuel to the fire for the fun loving. A wide range of stalls had been put up for games and satisfying taste buds of the students and parents alike. Jam Sessions, Live Band and Stage Performances created the magnetic fervour that pulled more and more people towards the venue. The presence of Mrs. Sudha Gupta, honourable Chairperson of the group, made sure that nothing was short of quantity and quality.
MENTAL MATHS QUIZ ASSISTS STUDENTS TO LEARN MENTAL MATHS SKILLS
A “Mental Math Quiz” was conducted for grades 4-10. It assessed the mathematical skills of the students with a varying degree of difficulty. There were several rounds for the quiz including Number patterns, Measurements, Geometry in Nature, Simplification, Mixed Bag, Puzzle Solver and Rapid Fire. Summing up, the quiz facilitated the effective learning of mental math skills and participation of students as a team and an alert audience.
WORK EDUCATION: THE ONLY SOURCE OF KNOWLEDGE IS EXPERIENCE
Presidium organised Work Education classes for the students in which they were given the opportunities to learn various types of work. The activities included Group Discussion on Environmental Awareness, Meal Planning under Healthy Food and Flameless Cooking and drawing Fine Arts on the theme of Christmas, etc. The students enthusiastically participated in the classes offered and benefitted from these a lot.
STUDENTS CREATE AWARENESS ON NATIONAL POLLUTION CONTROL DAY
To spread awareness on managing and controlling pollution, grade 3 students of Presidium Sonepat celebrated National Pollution Control Day. Facilitators of the class explained the numerous types of Pollution and how badly it is causing a big threat to the various species living on mother Earth. Children were also taught how we can create a pollution free earth. They were also encouraged to grow more trees, carpooling and banning plastic bags. Apart from this, they also made posters with slogans like ‘Be a part of Solution, not a part of pollution’. It was concluded with a rally which was carried out in the school where slogans were raised to sensitize students about the deteriorating state of Earth.
ANNUAL SPORTS DAY INTENSIFIES ENERGY OF THE PRESIDIANS
Presidium celebrated its Annual Sports Day on the sprawling grounds of the school. It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration, amidst thrills and cheers. The event commenced with the felicitation of our Honourable Chairperson Mrs. Sudha Gupta and the venerable Guest of Honors. The day was entailed by the races wherein the participants participated with full verve and vigour. It was a delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged themselves to attempt a variety of races such as sprint race, find the coin race, hurdle race, relay race etc. This day made our students understand the importance of having self -belief, being focused and goal-oriented.
PRESIDIUM CONDUCTS A POSTER MAKING ACTIVITY ON DIABETES DAY
Presidium conducted a Poster Making Activity for the students of
grade 4 and 5 where they were given the theme ‘Family and Diabetes’. On
this day, they took this initiative to make people aware about this disease which is affecting every household. They promoted the role of the family in the management, care, prevention and education of diabetes. Through their colourful and meaningful posters they largely spread the message that diabetes can be prevented through regular physical activity, a healthy and
balanced diet, and also promoted healthy living environments. It was a fun-filled day

SPELLATHON COMPETITION ENRICHES VOCABULARY OF STUDENTS
A Spellathon Competition was organized to enhance the vocabulary, pronunciation, and understanding of words in Presidians. The students participated in six grilling rounds and they were also abuzz with excitement. This competition helped to improve their observational skills. This competition was conducted to make our young leaders effective and impressive communicators. It was a great exercise to make students learn spellings in different ways. It was a great brainstorming activity for our champions.
