PRESIDIANS PROVE THEIR METTLE IN INTERCLUB DEBATE COMPETITION
“The purpose of debate is to explore issues, not end them.”
Freedom is hammered out on the avail of discussion, dissent and debate. Presidium, Sonipat recently organised an Inter Club Debate Competition for the students of grade 9. The topics were assigned to each club in which they successfully presented their thoughts and sensationalised the issues based on the given topics:
1. Maestros Club: Use of mobiles is a curse.
2. Supremes Club: Military training should be introduced in
3. Leaders Club: No retention policy is justified.
4. Legends Club: Films cause social evils.
5. Victors Club: Rural life is better than urban life.
6. Elites Club: Boarding schools are better than day
The club mentors formed their team of speakers. The highlight of the debate was the rebuttal round. The debate competition came alive as a volley of questions was answered, inviting more questions which got further answers from both sides. Each participant rose to the occasion to defend their argument. The best refuters, heatedly spoke for the motion and against the motion.
RECITATION COMPETITION:LITTLE POETS ENHANCE THEIR VERBAL SKILLS

Presidium, Sonipat recently organized an ‘English Poem Recitation Competition’ for grade prep. Poetry comes alive through recitation. Our little leaders gave life to numerous poetries and participated with great enthusiasm. This competition was specially organized to enhance the confidence and speaking skills of the students. The students enjoyed the beauty of expression, thoughts, feeling, rhyme, rhythm and music of words. They chose a variety of topics for their recitation like nature, trees, flower, mother, teacher, unity in diversity etc. with a lot of zeal. Each child was given a chance to recite a rhyme and it was a delight to hear these little ones singing in rhythm. The efforts of the students were appreciated and applauded and each one of them truly enjoyed the competition.
TAEKWONDO CONTEST WITNESSES HIGH ENERGY OF YOUNG CHAMPS

The emphasis on speed and agility is a defining characteristic of Taekwondo. Our young Presidians are those champions who are made from something they have deep inside them - a desire, a dream, a vision. To fulfill this desire and dream, a Taekwondo Competition was organized for the students of grade nursery to 3 where they depicted their true enthusiasm and energy. They showcased an energetic and enthusiastic performance which was applauded by the audience. They realized that sport is an art form, a lifestyle, and a culture. The high energy of the students & the atmosphere proved that it was not just a competition but a league towards their dreams.
EFFECTIVE TEACHERS' TRAINING WORKSHOPS FOR OUR GURUS
Whoever teaches learns in the act of teaching, and whoever learns teaches in the act of learning!
To keep our teachers ahead of time when it comes to upbeat teaching strategies, Presidium Sonipat recently conducted a teachers’ training workshop. The workshop began with a stimulating and informative discussion on the pedagogy of teaching, post which, the concept and importance of effective pedagogy, incorporating an array of teaching strategies that support intellectual engagement, connectedness, supportive classroom environments, and recognition of difference, which should be implemented across all key learning and subject areas, was explained. This informative session aimed at overall development of teachers and students both. The staff members were truly obliged, as it was a session of learning with enjoyment.
FACILITATING AN EXCHANGE OF IDEAS IN DECLAMATION COMPETITION
With the view to promote the skills of effective public speaking and leadership, an ‘Inter Club Declamation Competition’ was held at Presidium, Sonipat for grades 6 to 8. The dynamic participants mesmerized the student audience with their vibrant oratory skills as they presented their views on diverse topics within the given time limit. Impactful speeches on topics like ‘Life in an urban jungle’, ‘Racial Discrimination, ‘Global Terrorism’, etc. were declaimed by the young Presidians. The competition served an ideal platform for facilitating an exchange of ideas among the student fraternity. They displayed confidence, enthusiasm and awareness while participating in the competition.

Every child or person has an ocean of inner strengths and to prove this inner strength Presidium, Sonipat provided a platform to its students through an ‘Intra Class Drawing and Colouring’ competition. This drawing competition truly proved that every child is an artist, as the Presidians showcased their creative skills through drawing & colouring and came up with an amazing artwork. Each of these drawings were done so beautifully and diligently by them, that it was a stunning treat to the eyes. Students truly outshined in exhibiting their skills by their creative presentation.
PRESIDIANS SHOW EXEMPLARY CONFIDENCE AT RECITATION COMPETITION
To learn a great poem by heart is to make a friend for life!
To foster this learning among the tiny tots of Presidium Sonipat, a poem recitation competition was recently conducted. Students from grades nursery and prep received the opportunity to showcase their talent and each one of them performed wonderfully in the competition. Poetry is a graceful expression showing imagination and all participants reflected the same flawlessly. Displaying excellent audibility, clarity, confidence, selection of poem and expressions, the little Presidians won participation certificates and went home more confident!
ON MOTHER'S DAY, PRESIDIUM SONIPAT SALUTES ALL THE PROUD MOTHERS
Of all the gifts that life has to offer, a loving mother is the greatest of them all!
Mother’s Day is a special day of the year, dedicated to all mothers. Considering this, the students of Presidium Sonipat were given an opportunity to show love and respect for their mothers through a special assembly. The Presidians of grades nursery and prep performed on the song 'I Love You Mommy' and tapped their feet on the song 'Meri Maa Pyaari Maa'. The highlight of the assembly was a piano performance on an extremely emotional song, which showed that the influence of a mother in the lives of her children is beyond calculation!
ARTISTIC PRESIDIANS PUT FORTH THEIR CREATIVITY IN A PAINTING GALA

To give our students of grades 6 to 9 a platform to showcase their hidden talents and transform their creativity into visual expressions, an Inter-Class/Inter-Club On-the-Spot Painting Competition was recently organised at Presidium, Sonipat. The Presidians enthusiastically participated in the fun-filled competition and beautifully painted their ideas on paper with remarkable artistic expressions on the themes - Future City, Social Awareness and Human Rights. Coming up with amazing artwork using their colourful imagination, the budding artists relished this charismatic experience!
PRESIDIANS LEARN THE ART OF PUBLIC SPEAKING WITH ELOCUTION
Public speaking is the art of diluting a two minute idea with a two hour vocabulary!
To enhance the confidence and speaking skills of our grade 4 students, an Inter-Class Elocution Competition was recently organized on the topic ‘save earth’ at Presidium, Sonipat. The participants exhibited perfect nuances and finer points that go into making a public speech interesting and captivating. The poise, self-confidence and praiseworthy articulation delivered by the speakers with uncommon sense of conviction, made the event a benchmark for the fellow students. Teaching students the skills of public speaking and presenting their thoughts with elegance, the competition also fostered love in their hearts for Mother Earth.
