LITTLE ARTSY HANDS CREATE THE BEST OUT OF WASTE!

Little hands and imaginative minds came together in a creative burst of energy during the
competition “Best out of waste” held on 16 October 2019 organised by Presidium
School, Sonipat. Students of grades 1-10 prepared very creative and innovative models and art items from different waste materials. They used reusable and recyclable materials like news papers, shoe boxes, bangles, ice cream sticks and much more. From these items, they created an amazing array of display items and useful everyday objects leaving everyone totally impressed. The values like preservation, recycling, conservation, reduce, reuse etc are imbibed on the young heart and minds by demonstrating this noble act of caring for our environment.

DUSSEHRA:PRESIDIANS LEARN THE STORY BEHIND THE PIOUS FESTIVAL
STUDENTS ORGANIZED SWACHHTA PAKHWADA ON GANDHI JAYANTI

Presidians conducted a special assembly to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi. The day started with the recitation of inspirational poems on positivity by Gandhiji which motivated all students. They participated in the oath ceremony and promised to ban the usage of plastic and propagate the message of ‘Say No to Plastic’. In order to protect nature and keep our surroundings clean students organized Swachhta Pakhwada in which they took out the rally spreading the message of “Say No To Plastic” and also the need of cleaning the surroundings. Later, Nukkad Natak was performed by the Presidians to spread cleanliness message in the society to motivate people to keep their surroundings clean. The act highlighted the Swacchta hi Seva hai’ campaign which says ‘cleanliness is service’.

DANCE COMPETITION: PRESIDIANS OOZE CONFIDENCE WITH EVERY MOVE

With the aim of honing the dancing skills of the students, an Intra-Class Dance Competition was organized by Presidium for grade nursery to 3. Presidium leaves no stone unturned in amplifying the skills of the students, and dancing is one of the most congruous forms to achieve that. The competition started with great zeal and enthusiasm. Our young dancers were enthralled with the energy and were excited to be a part of a colorful, vibrant and energizing event. The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The happiness of the students was amply evident with applause and appreciation. The spectators bore witness to the enthusiasm and energy of the young Presidians as they mesmerised everyone with their performances.

Today, Presidians Sonipat paid homage to their mother tongue by celebrating Hindi Diwas in which both the students and the teachers, equally participated through Speeches, Story Telling, Kavita Paath and Slogan Writing. PRESIDIANS CELEBRATE THE EVE OF MUHARRAM WITH ENTHUSIASM

The students of Presidium, Sonepat religiously celebrated the eve of Muharram which is the first month of the Islamic Calendar. On this day, Husayn Ali, the grand son of Islamic prophet
Muhammad, became a martyr at the battle of Karbala. To mark the occasion, students of Grade 9 enlightened all about the significance of the day and presented valuable thoughts. The Vice Principal of the school informed all that Muharram is the month in which justice rose against injustice and truth stood up against falsehood.

STUDENTS PRESENT A SPECIAL ASSEMBLY FOR TEACHERS ON TEACHER’S DAY

‘Teachers should be the best minds in the country.’ These are the words of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, great Indian philosopher and statesman. He was also President of India and his birthday is celebrated nationwide as Teacher’s Day. Presidians of Sonipat presented a special assembly on the occasion and took us through the program with enthusiasm and confidence.The assembly started with the school choir paying homage with the Guru Vandana. Kohina of grade 8 spoke briefly on the importance of Teacher’s Day. This was followed by an ecstatic skit by our young Presidians. Jayant recited an endearing poem on this occasion. The programme was a perfect amalgamation of energetic songs and dance performances performed by the students. The highlight of the assembly was a ramp walk by senior students. Indeed it had been a special start to a delightful day.

LITTLE PRESIDIANS PARTICIPATE IN A FUN & INTERACTIVE QUIZ

Quiz is a fun classroom activity, that allows all the students to practice together and work as a team. It provides an excellent opportunity and platform for students to share their knowledge and learn more about news and views. To engage and enlighten the students, an Intra Class quiz was conducted in Grade Nursery and Prep. It was held in a very interactive way and the students participated with great enthusiasm. The theme of Nursery was Summer and rainy season whereas Prep had Play and Animals. The quiz comprised of oral questions, riddles, audio and visual rounds. The students displayed ecstatic spirit and enjoyed the quiz to the fullest. This enhances eagerness among students.
