PRESIDIANS COMPETE AT INTERCLUB ELOCUTION COMPETITION
“Let thy speech be better than silence.” Presidium Sonipat organized an Inter-Class Elocution Competition for the students of Grade 4 & 5 on the topic ‘Say no to Plastic’. It was conducted to enhance their confidence and speaking skills. The participants, exhibited perfect nuances and finer points that go into making a public speech interesting and captivating. The self-confidence and praiseworthy articulation delivered by the speakers with uncommon sense of conviction, made the event a benchmark for the fellow students, also providing utmost satisfaction and pride to the teachers. The students gained the admiration as they were endowed with the fine art of public speaking and the thoughts were represented with the elegance and style.The leaders participated with great enthusiasm.
EARTH DAY: SENSITISING STUDENTS ABOUT THE NEEDS OF OUR PLANET
The leaders of Presidium, Sonipat along with the teachers celebrated Earth Day with much enthusiasm. The aim was to sensitise the students towards their role in addressing global environmental challenges at grass root level. The Presidians collectively participated in the rally as they took the initiative towards a green and beautiful Earth. The students displayed an informative presentation on how Mother Earth can be saved from global warming. To mark this day and to emphasize upon the need to save trees, all the Presidians were involved in speaking slogans like ‘Save Earth’ and ‘Go Green’. The Presidians decided to take a pledge to make a lifestyle change that would impact not only those within the school but also the community outside of the school. The day really proved as an eye opener for everyone as they understood the need of an hour to save the Mother Earth.
YOUNG ORATORS PROVE THEIR METTLE IN RECITATION COMPETITION

The Presidians of Grade 2 and 3 recently participated in an Intra-Class Poem Recitation Competition and cast an unbreakable spell upon all by giving their unforgettable performances. Complemented by wonderful props, they gave their presentations on a wide range of themes like Soldiers, Life, Nature, and many others, in such a brilliant way that they seemed to be nothing short of the future poets in the making.
PRESIDIANS SOAK IN THE CELEBRATIONS OF BAISAKHI!
The surroundings of Presidium Sonipat reverberated with great enthusiasm during Baisakhi celebrations. The Presidians celebrated the festival of harvest and au courant themselves with the Punjabi culture and tradition. The entire surroundings of Presidium was decked up with variant colours of celebration. Our leaders recited various poems related to Baisakhi and enlightened the audience about the Sikh history related to 10th Guru of Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh who laid the foundation of “Khalsa Panth.” The whole school came alive with a brilliant Bhangra performance which was the highlight of the celebrations. Keeping up with the tradition of celebrating the festival with great fervour and gaiety and apprising children of their rich culture and heritage, Baisakhi celebrations were full of happiness.

Presidium Sonipat buzzed with excitement on the first day of session 2019-20 . The teachers welcomed the students with the open heart. The faculty put up a special assembly for the learners. They prayed to almighty for a wonderful year, read out the vision and mission of the school. Students felt special, this was reflected through their faces as their thunderous claps filled the atmosphere with the positivity of learning. The welcome speech filled everyone with liveliness & happiness. All the students were congratulated for moving a step ahead and were motivated to utilise their time to the best of their capacity from day one. The welcome of the students definitely motivated them for another happy, chirpy and a peppy new session.
GRANDPARENTS’ DAY: A TRIBUTE TO ALL THE LOVELY GRANDPARENTS

Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and pure love. Their love creates some of the most vibrant shades of childhood, which can be treasured as memories through out life. They hold our tiny hands just for a little while but our hearts forever. With them we feel safe and secure. Their love nurtures us and their wisdom makes us wise and strong. Our adorable little Presidians, felt an urge to express their love and gratitude for their very special grandparents. Thus we celebrated 'Grandparents Day' in our school, where Grandparents were invited. They were welcomed in a traditional manner with tilak and flowers. They later were really glad to see their bundles of joy performing with utmost confidence and grace on stage.
Teachers also presented dance performances on tunes of some of the most popular old songs. Our teachers are multi talented and truly versatile too.
Grandparents really enjoyed playing various games and also walked gracefully on ramp. They were appreciated for their efforts and it was a delight to see them revisiting their college days. Our little champs also sang prayers and bhajans which filled every body's heart with various shades of worship. Kids presented small hand made cards to their grandparents and they were also given 'Bhagwad Geeta' as a token of love.
It was a wonderful day where virtues of togetherness, love, respect and unity were celebrated beautifully.
PRESIDIANS LEARN VARIOUS SCIENTIFIC CONCEPTS WITH FUN ACTIVITIES!
Science is a beautiful gift to humanity. In order to celebrate this beautiful gift of nature “Science week” was celebrated at Presidium Sonipat. An initiative was undertaken to make the students understand that science is fun. The students gave a hard hitting message on the need of conserving natural resources. Keeping in sync with the theme, a number of activities were organised. The students learnt about the importance of biodiversity through various role plays and games based on food chain and food web. They were also involved in robotics activities, as Robotic Competition was organised to make the students aware about the rising technology. The leaders learnt the applications of different principles of science through simple and working toys. Its was a great learning experience for everybody.
PRESIDIANS ENJOY A DAY OUT WITH FUN ADVENTUROUS ACTIVITIES!
An adventure may well be a metaphor for life. The essentials for happiness are the right company, moderate if sanguine expectations and a reasonable standard of physical sustenance and comfort and the belief that there is always something better to be had if only one presses on. Presidium organised a fun filled adventure camp for its students. It was a thrilling and spectacular day for the children who were engaged in different activities. The students enjoyed participating in Burma bridge, gorilla cave, tractor ride, zip line, zorbing ball, Commando net and tug of war. Both the teachers and students had an amazing experience that certainly refreshed their minds.
MATHEMATIC WEEK: LEARNING NEW CONCEPTS WITH FUN ACTIVITIES!
Mathematics is the art of giving the same name to different things. To make the students understand the importance of equations and to bust the myths, Maths week was celebrated at Presidium, Sonipat with great enthusiasm. The celebration developed the interest of the students towards the subject through different activities. The students recited a poem on subject maths which was their own creation. The unusual thoughts related to the essence of mathematics were very well showcased by our leaders.
The students showcased a lot of mathematics tricks. The efforts of our leaders were appreciated and they were encouraged to take part in all sort of activities conducted in the whole week.
A MOTIVATING SEMINAR ON ‘THE POWER OF BEING’ FOR THE TEACHERS
The honourable Chairperson of Presidium, Mrs. Sudha Gupta recently conducted a seminar on the ‘Power of Being’ at Presidium Sonipat for the teachers. The seminar promised to motivate and inspire everyone to help them increase their productivity, create extraordinary relationship and learn the ways to gain control over the negativity of life. Mrs. Gupta discussed about the ‘Ten Mantras’ and ‘Three Guru Mantras’ that would help teachers in delivering when it comes to the students. It was a great experience for the teachers as they learned how to enhance their attitude towards life while leaving the negative thoughts behind.
