Presidium observed Akshay Urja Diwas to make students aware of the infinite advantages of using renewable Energy Sources. Renewable Energy Day or Indian Akshay Urja Day was established in 2004 to support renewable energy development programs and promote its use instead of traditional energy sources. This day also marks the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India. Our talented Presidians made posters, wrote quotes and slogans, speech, and prepared models to celebrate this day. The students, along with teachers, took a pledge to conserve energy. They displayed scientific models based on renewable sources of energy and talked about the judicious use of electricity and life processes, to save the environment from pollution. Also, it emphasized increasing the capacity of solar energy and converting the waste into the best disposal of garbage.
